Terms of service

1. Travel bookings
We recommend booking travel to Zug only after final confirmation of the workshop. Confirmation will be given once the minimum number of participants is reached, at the latest by 25th September 2026.

2. Minimum participation
If the minimum number of 9 participants is not reached by 25th September 2026, the workshop will be cancelled and all payments already made will be fully refunded.

3. Duration and venue
The workshop begins on Friday 9 October 2026 at 14:00 at the Gewürzmühle in Zug and ends on Sunday 11 October 2026 at 13:00. Weather permitting, a large part of the workshop takes place outdoors in and around Zug. Travel, accommodation and meals are not included in the workshop fee and must be arranged individually.

4. Group size
The workshop is limited to a maximum of 12 participants. Only registered participants can attend the sessions; spouses, partners or friends not taking part in the course cannot be accommodated.

5. Materials
Each participant is responsible for bringing their own art materials. A materials list will be provided after registration, at the latest two weeks before the workshop.

6. Accessibility
The workshop involves moving between sketching locations on foot and drawing outdoors, sometimes standing, for extended periods. Participants should be comfortable walking within the town and spending several hours outside in autumn weather.

7. Weather
The programme adapts to the weather: outdoor sessions may be replaced by indoor sessions at the Gewürzmühle. Changes of this kind do not entitle participants to a refund.

8. Cancellation policy
Cancellation by participants: bookings are non-refundable. However, you are welcome to transfer your place to another person at any time; just let us know the name of your replacement by email before the workshop.
Cancellation by the organiser (including cancellation due to the minimum number of participants not being reached, or the instructor being unable to attend): all payments will be fully refunded. Further claims, in particular for travel or accommodation costs already booked, are excluded.

9. Registration & payment
Your place is secured once payment has been completed through our webshop. All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF).

10. Liability & insurance
Participation in the workshop is at your own risk. The organisers cannot accept responsibility for accidents, injuries, illness, loss or damage to personal property during the event or while travelling to and from Zug. Participants are advised to have adequate personal and health insurance.

11. Photography
Photographs and short videos may be taken during the workshop for documentation and for the promotion of Sketchhouse Switzerland and of the instructor, Olivia Marcus (website, social media, portfolios and future events). This may include images of participants and their work. By registering, you agree to this use. If you prefer not to appear in photographs, just let us know at the start of the workshop and we will of course respect that.
